Jayda Barkley graduated from the 3000 hour massage therapy program at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2011, and became a Registered Massage Therapist in 2012. She practiced in Surrey until 2017 when she took a year off to spend time with her new born child. She has spent much time practicing her skills in soft tissue manipulation, stretching, strengthening, and functional movement of the body. All patients are given a thorough assessment and a treatment plan will be made according to what is found. She will work with each patient on an individual basis to ensure quality care is given.
Jayda became a massage therapist because of a strong interest in the human body, and a deep caring for others. She provides a safe space for all patients to feel comfortable, which allows for any healing to take place.
Jayda has focused her continued education on prenatal massage. She invites soon to be and new Moms to come revel in their own strength and give themselves the time to allow their bodies (and mind) to prepare or perhaps to heal.
Jayda will use a multitude of techniques with each patient including, but not limited to the following:
- Myofascial Release
- Depp Tissue
- Trigger Point Release
- Joint Mobilizations
- Active Release
- Musculo-Tendon Attachment Release
- Therapeutic Exercises/Stretches
